2. Unplug and unplug the wires

◦ Loosen and unplug the plug (1).

◦ Remove the shroud (2) and loosen the nut underneath, according to the tightening torque specification: 12 42 1AZ.

 ◦ Remove the positive battery lead, making sure to clean the connection point.

3. Removing the air conditioning compressor bracket

◦ Loosen the bolts

(1) on the A/C compressor only a few turns, do not remove the bracket

 (2) completely. Tightening torque specification: 12 31 3AZ.

4. Removing the generator

◦ Carefully pull out and remove the generator (3).

Generator Installation Procedure: Putting it back together as it was

The installation process is the reverse of the removal procedure described above:

1. Place the generator Installation back in the correct position.

2. Secure the bolts in sequence and tighten to torque specifications. 

3. Reconnect plugs, wires, and shroud. 

4. Install the charge air duct and drive belt in that order. 

5. Finally, connect the negative battery lead.

Record the Position and Quantity of Each Bolt: use a simple plastic bag or tray to sort and store them to avoid wrong loading.

Check the Condition of the Generator Belt: If the belt is aged or badly worn, simultaneous replacement is recommended.
