Steer a 3.95 mm Probe Into Narrow Engine and Pipe Passages
The V85 guides a four-way articulating probe through tight engine, pipe and equipment paths and shows the live 2 MP image on its own 4.3-inch screen, with no phone or app. Save photos and video to a TF card for later review. Check the full tip and turning space against the access path before inspection.
- 3.95 mm Four-Way Probe
- 2 MP Imaging
- 4.3-Inch Standalone Screen
- 15–100 mm Viewing Range
- Photo and Video Recording
Key Features
-
Four-Way Articulation
Steer the tip in four directions with the handle control. The 720° product designation does not mean continuous rotation or coverage of every surface.
-
Standalone Display
Live viewing, playback and device controls run on the integrated color screen without a phone app or separate display.
-
Adjustable Probe Lighting
Three brightness levels plus off help reduce dark areas and reflections in the cavity.
-
Capture, Playback and Rotation
Record photos or video with the handle capture button, then review the files with playback and image rotation.
-
Digital Zoom for Review
Enlarges the displayed image to check a detail; it does not add optical information the camera did not capture.
-
Magnetic Positioning
A magnetic base attaches to a suitable ferrous surface to help hold the unit while you guide the probe.

How to Use
- Define the targetIdentify the entry point and surface you need to see, and confirm the probe and viewing range suit that path.
- Check the equipmentInspect the tip and cable, charge the unit, and check steering, lighting and saving.
- Prepare the vehicleIsolate moving and live parts and let the inspection area cool as the service procedure requires.
- Guide and illuminateInsert gently while watching the live image, steer and adjust lighting; never force a bend.
- Record findingsCapture the target from useful angles and note the component, entry point and viewing direction.
- Withdraw and storeStraighten the tip, withdraw gently, check the probe, then clean, dry and store it.
Good to Know
Caution
- The IP67 rating applies to the probe only. Keep the screen and handle dry, and do not infer oil, fuel or solvent compatibility from the rating.
- If the probe resists withdrawal, stop pulling, return the tip with the steering control and follow the manual. Do not start the engine with the probe inserted.
- The heat shutdown is a protective threshold, not a working-temperature rating; let components cool before inserting the probe.
- Avoid coiled operation and forced bending of the braided hose.
Care
- A borescope image documents what is visible; compression, leak-down or other tests may still be needed when the picture is inconclusive.
