This AST603 brake oil changer is really efficient.

This AST603 brake oil changer is really efficient. One‑button pulse operation makes brake fluid replacement easy, and it can even work on two sub‑pumps at the same time. The intelligent liquid level monitoring avoids air entering the system, and the corrosion‑resistant hoses are solid. It fits most car models and comes with clear gauges and stable connectors. Very professional and convenient for auto repair.

Heavy duty machine, manual needs work.

Received it within 4 days. The machine itself is fantastic, heavy stainless steel body, feels very professional. The adjustable pulsating pressure gets you a rock-hard pedal every time. Knocked off 1 star because the English manual is poorly translated and missing clear steps on how to properly depressurize the unit before disconnecting from the master cylinder. You’ll figure it out quickly (just crack the pressure release valve), but the manual is weak.

Only drawback is that most over the counter brake fluid containers are smaller than the suction hose off of the machine. That, and only three adapaters for brake fluid reservoir. Granted, they are the 3 most popular modern styles. If you need another style though, you’ll most likely have to buy another adapter kit and modify the adapters to work with this machine.

The AST603 feeds fresh fluid into the reservoir under pressure while used fluid drains at one caliper at a time, so nobody has to pump the brake pedal. It stops on its own when the fresh-fluid bottle runs dry or pressure cannot build.

  1. One-Button Pulsating Exchange

    After the bottle, hoses and reservoir connection are prepared, one button starts the automatic exchange. Two sub-pumps work together to deliver fresh fluid at the set pressure while used fluid is released at each caliper in the prescribed sequence.

  2. Fluid-Level Monitoring

    If the fresh-fluid container runs out during filling, the machine stops to help keep air out of the brake lines.

How to Use

  1. Prime the machineBefore first use, bleed the machine so its internal line is filled with brake fluid; fill the vehicle reservoir to the maximum mark.
  2. Connect the adapterFit a matching adapter to the brake fluid reservoir and check the cap and hose connections for leaks.
  3. Build initial pressurePress and hold the start button for 5–6 seconds; release once pressure is above 0.6 bar.
  4. Set working pressureAdjust the working pressure; the operating guide usually recommends about 2 bar.
  5. Open the bleed screwLoosen the bleed screw on the wheel cylinder or caliper to drain the old fluid.
  6. Watch the drain bottleCheck the layering and color in the used-fluid bottle; the darker layer is the old fluid.
  7. Close, then switch offTighten the bleed screw first and only then turn the machine off, so air cannot enter the system.

Good to Know

Caution
  • Keep watching the fresh-fluid bottle. If it empties and the machine keeps running, air may enter the brake system.
  • On vehicles with an electronic power brake pump, use the AST603 together with a diagnostic computer.
  • Brake fluid is toxic. Wear safety goggles and protective gloves; wash any skin contact with water immediately and remove contaminated clothing.
  • The single default adapter does not fit every reservoir; check the opening before service.
Care
  • Unplug the power cable before working on the machine, and do not open or modify it.
  • Inspect the machine before each use; stop if anything is abnormal and have it repaired professionally.
  • Keep the machine dry and do not operate it in damp conditions.

This is a great brake fluid change tool. I can actually buy an extra fluid can and change both wheels at the same time. I no longer need two people to work together, and I can easily change it by myself. Most importantly, there are no bubbles, which is great.
