Measure, Scope and Activate Circuits in 9–30 V Electrical Systems
The B550 combines a multimeter mode, an oscilloscope mode, frequency testing, an adjustable 0–5 V output and component activation in one probe-style circuit tester for 9 V to 30 V systems, with current overload protection.
- Multimeter + Scope Modes
- Component Activation
- 0–5 V Adjustable Output
- Frequency Test
- Built-In Flashlight
Key Features
-
Multimeter Mode
DC voltage with maximum and minimum readings, plus resistance and diode tests to find components damaged by short circuits.
-
Oscilloscope Mode
Displays the voltage, frequency and duty cycle of the tested component as a curve.
-
Component Activation
Outputs the drive waveform needed to activate components such as lights, motors and other onboard electronic devices.
-
Adjustable 0–5 V Output
Set any output voltage between 0 and 5 V to check the wiring of the component under test; the tool alarms if the output differs from the set value by more than 0.1 V.
-
Flashlight Design
Lights the test point so you can complete circuit testing in dark areas.
-
Wide Application
Diagnoses circuit issues on cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, boats, excavators and trailers.
Highlights

Multimeter Screens
Voltage with min/max, resistance and diode/continuity readings.

Scope Mode
See the signal waveform along with its frequency and duty cycle.

Activate a Component
Drive a bulb or motor directly to confirm it works.

Good to Know
Caution
- Keep clothing, hair, hands, tools and test equipment away from operating or hot equipment.
- Take special care near the ignition coil, distributor cap, ignition wires and spark plugs, which carry dangerously high voltage when the engine is running.
- Keep a fire extinguisher at hand when working with gasoline, chemicals or electrical equipment.
- Before testing, put the transmission in Park (automatic) or Neutral (manual) and set the handbrake.
- Do not connect or disconnect test equipment while the ignition is on or the engine is running.
