Steer a Slim Camera Around Corners and Record What You Find
The SVB208 feeds a 6.25 mm probe into engine gaps, evaporators, pipes and combustion chambers, steers the tip 210° in two directions, and shows the image on its own 4.3-inch screen. Photos and video save to built-in storage. Inspect only cooled components; the probe is waterproof but the handle and screen are not.

How to Use
- Plan the inspectionIdentify the entry point and surface to view, and check the probe and bend path fit the opening.
- Check the toolCharge it, inspect the tip and cable, and test steering, lighting and recording.
- Prepare the vehicleIsolate moving and live parts and let the area cool.
- Guide and illuminateInsert gently while watching the screen; steer and adjust light to bring the target within 15–100 mm. Never force a bend.
- RecordCapture useful angles and note the component, entry point and viewing direction.
- WithdrawReturn the tip toward straight, pull out gently, then clean, dry and store the probe.

Good to Know
Caution
- Use below 75 °C. A stopped engine can reach 80–100 °C or more; wait about 1–2 hours for it to cool. The 85 °C alarm is a protection warning, not a working limit, and heat damage to the camera is treated as abnormal damage.
- IP67 covers the probe only. Keep the screen and handle dry, and do not assume oil, fuel, coolant or solvent compatibility from the rating.
- Do not turn the steering dial while coiling the hose; it can break or deform the articulation wire.
- If you feel resistance on withdrawal, stop and straighten the tip rather than pulling harder.
Care
- Avoid prolonged sunlight and contact with water, oil and corrosive liquids; keep the unit clean.
- If an image is unclear, adjust distance and brightness, clean the lens and try another angle; reflections and shadows can look like defects.
FAQ
Can an image confirm the cause of an engine fault?
It documents the visible condition. Compression, leak-down, other measurements or disassembly may still be needed when the picture is inconclusive.
How is the SVB208 different from four-way models?
It steers 210° in two directions. Four-way models such as SVB303, SVB308, SVB405 and SVB408 move 360° for more complex angles.
