As soon as I purchased the Launch I put it to use. I was doing a brake job and used it to release these new ebrakes. Worked perfectly and saved me a bunch of time. It has so many functions!! I will be learning new things with this Thinkscan 689 each time I use it! It’s very sturdy, connects fast, and I love the warning it gives to remind you not to leave it in the vehicle when you’re done!! Can’t tell you how many times I have left or almost left one of these scanners in a car! Overall all, GREAT product! And sooo many functions. This will be the first tool used when I start a diagnostic check!!!!

Pricey, But Worth It, So Far

Yeah, this scanner isn’t exactly pocket change, but it better be built like a tank for the price. Out of the box, it feels solid and has all the bells and whistles you’d expect, 34 reset services, bidirectional control, ECU coding, the works. I’m impressed so far, but let me tell you, if it gives out on me, you’ll hear me screeching like a squirrel that just lost its stash. No updates from me? That means it’s holding up just fine, so go ahead and give it a shot if you’re looking for something serious.

De THINKSCAN 689 is een 8-inch Android-diagnosetester voor diagnose van alle systemen, ECU-codering, bidirectionele aansturing en onderhoudsresets, met CAN FD, DoIP en toegang via AutoAuth tot beveiligde FCA-gateways.

Belangrijkste kenmerken

  1. Diagnose van alle systemen

    Vraag ECU-informatie op, lees en wis foutcodes en bekijk livegegevens van systemen zoals motor, transmissie, airbags, ABS, stuurhoek, bandenspanning, carrosserie en airconditioning.

  2. Coderen na vervanging van een module

    Stem een vervangen ECU of module af, leer deze in en codeer deze zodat deze normaal werkt, inclusief Programmable Module Installation (PMI), voornamelijk voor Ford-modellen.

  3. Voertuigfuncties personaliseren

    Schakel bepaalde functies in of uit, bijvoorbeeld hoelang de interieurverlichting blijft branden na het sluiten van de deur bij een Ford Focus, of pas instellingen voor de dagrijverlichting en het gordelalarm aan. Je kunt de instellingen ook terugzetten naar de standaardwaarden.

  4. Aftermarket-installatie

    Codeer nieuwe onderdelen die aan een ouder voertuig zijn toegevoegd, zoals een achteraf ingebouwde TPMS-set.

  5. Bidirectionele actieve tests

    Stuur relais, spoelen, injectoren en actuatoren rechtstreeks aan om ze te controleren zonder de eigen bedieningselementen van het voertuig te gebruiken, bijvoorbeeld met tests voor de koelventilator, het zoemen van injectoren, EVAP, ramen, ruitenwissers, schuifdak, deursloten en koplampen.

  6. Onderhoudsdiensten

    Omvat olieservicereset, DPF-regeneratie, ABS-ontluchting, accu-inleren, injectorcodering, stuurhoekreset, TPMS-reset, inleren van de elektrische gasklep, EGR-adaptatie en AdBlue-reset.

  7. Nieuwere protocollen en beveiligde gateways

    Ondersteuning voor CAN FD en DoIP voor nieuwere voertuigen, en ingebouwde AutoAuth-registratie om bij FCA-voertuigen met een beveiligde gateway foutcodes te wissen, actieve tests uit te voeren en componenten opnieuw in te leren.

  8. Uitbreidbaar met accessoires

    Werkt met THINKTPMS VENU iPro of THINKTPMS G2, een endoscoop, een oscilloscoop, een printer en een Bluetooth-accuklem.

The basic 689 does NOT come with or is available for this basic unit. i just found that out. i can live without it. for 450 its ok. the Pro unit does have it for 800 Nah i dont need it that bad.
