Back-Probe Connectors and Test Current Without Cutting Wires
The AUTOOL 92-piece kit gathers terminal leads, extension leads, probes, clips and banana adapters in one shaped-foam case, so you can connect a multimeter, ammeter or oscilloscope to fitted connectors on 12 V and 24 V vehicles. It adds no voltage or CAT rating of its own.
- 92 Pieces
- Color-Coded Terminal Leads
- Back-Probe Access
- No-Cut Current Testing
- 12V / 24V Vehicles
Hauptmerkmale
-
Back-Probe Access
Connect from the back of a terminal without damaging the circuit, reducing corrosion risk and avoiding unnecessary added impedance.
-
No-Cut Current Testing
Route the circuit through the leads to check current instead of cutting a vehicle wire, when the adapter and ratings match the test point.
-
Meter and Scope Extensions
Works with current meters, multimeters and oscilloscope probe extensions to track, check and measure complex vehicle circuits.
-
Sensors, Actuators and Wiring
Troubleshoot sensors, actuators and electronic circuits on cars, RVs, trucks and boats while limiting connector damage.
-
Organized EVA Case
Each lead group, clip and adapter has its own foam slot, which protects the leads and makes missing small adapters easy to spot.
Highlights

Color-Coded Terminal Leads
Red, yellow, blue and black groups with different tip styles help keep each connection identifiable.

Variable Test Leads
Potentiometer-style leads with banana plugs for adjustable test connections.

Banana Plug Adapters
Dual banana adapters connect the lead set to standard meter inputs.

Anwendung
- Choose the adapterMatch the connector, terminal size and probe style to the test point without forcing or spreading the vehicle terminal.
- Check the ratingsUse the lowest input and CAT limit in the meter-lead-probe path and confirm the circuit is within it.
- Inspect the leadDo not use a lead with damaged insulation, loose metal, contamination or a bent connector.
- Connect in a safe stateDe-energize the circuit or set it as the vehicle procedure requires before changing adapters; keep fingers behind the guards.
- Measure and restoreTake the reading, remove the adapters and check that the terminal and seal are undamaged.
Good to Know
Caution
- The measurement path is limited by the lowest rating of the meter, input terminal, fuse, lead, probe and adapter. Use a CAT- and voltage-rated setup for higher-energy work.
- Never force a probe into a connector; a spread or scratched terminal can create a new intermittent fault.
Care
- Check insulation and metalwork for heat damage or contamination before each use.
- Return leads, clips and adapters to their foam slots after use.
