Electrical Readings and Thermal Images from One Meter
The DM208 combines a True RMS automotive multimeter with a 32 × 32 thermal imager, so a hot connector or component found on screen can be confirmed electrically in the same inspection. Images and readings can be saved and moved to a PC over Type-C.
- True RMS
- 32 × 32 Thermal Array
- -20 to 550 °C
- 25,000 Counts
- Visible + IR Fusion
Key Features
-
Multimeter and Thermal Imager
Switch between meter functions and thermal screening, or use both together during one inspection.
-
Automatic Point Tracking
The infrared view runs at 7 frames per second and tracks the hottest, coldest and center-point temperatures.
-
Dual-Light Fusion
Blend the visible and infrared views, with four color palettes and adjustable emissivity.
-
Color Display with Curves
The 2.4-inch screen shows meter values and waveform-style curves.
-
Save and Review
One-touch saving of thermal images and readings, with on-device playback or viewing and analysis on a PC.

How to Use
- Define the measurementUse the wiring diagram to identify the expected signal, reference point and safe measurement mode.
- Check leads and ratingsConfirm the terminal, fuse, lead and probe ratings for the task before connecting.
- Select the modeChoose the function and start on a safe range.
- Probe the circuitConnect to the correct reference and test point without bridging terminals.
- Record and verifySave the reading and operating state, then compare it with the vehicle specification.

Good to Know
Caution
- Use only the modes, terminals, probes and conditions stated in the manual; its voltage or CAT rating does not extend to unlisted high-voltage EV work.
Care
- A hotspot alone does not prove a fault. Load, surface, distance, reflection and emissivity all affect the image, so confirm electrically.
