Pin-Level OBD2 Access With Voltage and LED Cues
The Upgraded breakout box sits between the vehicle’s DLC and your scan tool, showing the selected point’s voltage and color-coded LED cues while all 16 pins stay open to a multimeter, oscilloscope or 4 mm leads. A DC jack accepts a 12 V backup battery for temporary ECU power. It is an access tool, not a scanner.
- 16-Pin Access
- Selected-Pin Voltage
- Red / Green / Yellow LEDs
- 12 V Backup Input
- 45 cm Cable
Hauptmerkmale
-
Scanner Stays Connected
Monitor and measure the 16 pins while a diagnostic tool communicates with the vehicle through the box.
-
Selected-Point Voltage
Pick an OBD interface point and read its live voltage on the built-in display; confirm with the correct reference and a suitable meter.
-
Color-Coded LED Cues
Red for pin 16 power, green for pins 4 and 5 ground, yellow for communication-line activity.
-
Built-In Input Jacks
The jack panel follows the OBDII 16-pin layout for 4 mm banana plugs, multimeters or oscilloscopes.
-
Temporary ECU Power
Connect a 12 V backup battery to the DC jack to support ECU power during battery replacement.
-
Flexible TPU Cable
The elastic, high-strength TPU extension makes it easier to work around the vehicle’s OBD2 port.

Anwendung
- Identify the circuitUse the vehicle wiring diagram to identify pin functions, expected voltage, ground, network and a safe test method.
- Inspect and connectWith the vehicle in the required state, inspect the DLC and connect the box without forcing or back-feeding pins.
- Check power and groundsVerify connector supply and grounds with a suitable meter before interpreting communication activity.
- Observe and measureKeep the scanner inline when required and measure at the test jacks with a multimeter or oscilloscope.
- Record the resultNote vehicle state, pin, reference, reading or waveform, scanner result and any change when the box is removed.

Good to Know
Caution
- Do not directly short pin 16 to pin 4 or 5, and do not jumper the input jacks on circuits you have not identified; incorrect jumpers, loads or back-feeding can damage vehicle networks and modules.
- External load devices must not exceed 1 A.
- Use the 12 V backup input only with confirmed circuit compatibility, polarity and an approved service procedure.
Care
- Treat the LEDs as cues; confirm voltage, loaded ground, waveform and protocol behavior with the vehicle diagram and a suitable instrument.
- Stop immediately if the effect of an operation is uncertain.
