I have 2 Jaguars, one a 1996 xj6, which uses first generation ELM27 software, not easily found on modern day devices. The other is a 1998 xk8, same software. The BT 200 Max works well on both cars, especially reading live data streams. It has been a long learning period though, as there is not much in the way of tutorials or in depth instuctions. I bought one for each car. Highly recommended....

For the price, this is an incredibly capable piece of equipment. More capable than the 400 dollar unit I bought a few years ago. That said, the Dollarfix app is a mess. Unintuitive and poorly laid out, it feels like they are trying to combine a scan tool with social media. Thankfully, the android store also has the Mucar app and this device is also compatible with just about any other phone app you might already have so it's really limited only to those capabilities. I don't know about iphones so if you have one of those, check first. I would live to see a rework of the DF app to bring it more in line with normal diagnostic software.

The hardware is excellent but the GUI is not intuitive, would give it 5 stars if they made the app look like a regular touchscreen scanner and if it could be used in landscape mode. Also I have the app installed on my tablet and phone but have to log out of one to use the other which is a little bit annoying.

  1. Asistente de diagnóstico DF-AI

    Analiza los informes de diagnóstico proporcionados por el usuario y genera un análisis de diagnóstico estructurado, con análisis de la causa raíz, orientación para la reparación, módulos de diagnóstico de circuitos y pruebas de componentes, y apoyo para decidir la sustitución de piezas.

Does not provide information on certain cars like my Lotus or Rivian and other brands. IT does work on German cars like BMW, Audi, MB. Its also good for most common Japanese and Korean models. Keep updating guys and it will be the best in no time!!

Mucar BT200 Max vs Citroën C5 from 2003

I have an old Citroën, I wanted to know more about his “ideas, dreams, problems”. The dongle works basicly easy through Bluetooth with the app of Dollarfix. There are some functions what doesn’t work (ABS bleeding). If I try to use this function the computer of the car gives faultcodes of the ABS and the brakes. The sofware of the dongle upgraded to the newest version, but then it didn’t want to read the VIN number if the car and just frozen down. There are good and bad experiences too. I hope the software will be fixed with any update and the dongle will be good/better useable.
