Clean and Compare Six Injectors, Including Selected GDI Units, at 12, 70 or 120 V
The AUTOOL CT400 ultrasonically cleans standard gasoline, EFI, FSI and selected GDI injectors, then compares up to six for spray, leakage and collected volume under matched low-pressure conditions. It is not a high-pressure GDI calibration or coding system, and the cleaning tank is not heated.

How to Use
- Identify the injectorRecord the part number and confirm injector type, drive, feed direction, seals and whether low-pressure comparison suits the job.
- Pick adapter and driveFit the correct connector, rail adapter and plugs, then select the drive voltage.
- Clean ultrasonicallyFill the tank with approved cleaning fluid, connect the pulse lead and run the cleaning cycle. Never run the tank dry.
- Mount for testingInstall up to six injectors with correct seals, verify clamping and plug every unused position.
- Configure the testAdd non-corrosive injector test fluid, then set drive, pressure, pulse width, time and test mode.
- Compare and retestCompare leakage, spray and volume under identical settings, swap channels if needed, repeat after cleaning and drain the fluids.

Good to Know
Caution
- Never use cleaning fluid or gasoline in the test circuit; cleaning fluid can corrode internal parts and rubber seals and cause leaks.
- Do not drive an injector at an incorrect high voltage for long; a wrong setting can also cause no injection or a machine alarm.
- Diesel injectors can only be ultrasonically cleaned; diesel testing needs dedicated equipment.
- Cleaning without injector removal needs special adapters that are sold separately.
Care
- Cleaning fluid is typically corrosive and flammable: ventilate, keep away from ignition sources and follow the fluid’s safety data and disposal rules.
- If no professional fluid is available, 75%+ medical alcohol can substitute for cleaning or test fluid, with less consistent results.
FAQ
Can the CT400 test GDI injectors at original engine pressure?
No. It drives, cleans and compares selected GDI injectors at bench pressure; original-pressure checks, OEM calibration and coding need dedicated equipment.
One channel reads low. Is that injector restricted?
Check the fixture, seals, pressure stability and channel first, then swap positions and repeat under the same settings before deciding.
Can every injector be reverse-flushed?
No. Only compatible designs, such as applicable top-feed units or strainers, and only where the injector service procedure permits it.
