Read Engine Vacuum Live, Powered From the Vehicle Battery
The PT502 shows negative pressure in real time on vacuum paths such as the intake manifold, crankcase and turbo vacuum lines, with automatic temperature compensation. It clamps onto 12 V vehicle power and measures vacuum only, not boost.
- -101 to 0 kPa
- ±1% FS
- Temperature Compensated
- 12 V Clamp Power
- Reverse Polarity Protection
Key Features
-
Real-Time Readout
A built-in high-precision pressure sensor captures pressure changes as they happen across the working range.
-
Automatic Temperature Compensation
A built-in temperature sensor tracks ambient changes and corrects measurement deviation.
-
Direct Vehicle Power
Runs from the vehicle battery through clamps for continuous observation, with no internal battery to charge.
-
Reverse Polarity Protection
Cuts off current if the clamps are connected the wrong way round, protecting the gauge and the battery.
-
Pattern-Based Diagnosis
Follow the vacuum pattern at the chosen connection and compare readings under the same recorded engine conditions to decide what to inspect next.
What’s in the Box
- PT502 vacuum pressure gauge
- Vehicle battery clamp power cable
- Vacuum pressure measurement probe / interface
- User manual

How to Use
- Choose the test pathConfirm the system is a vacuum path and note the expected range and operating condition.
- Power on firstConnect the clamps to the vehicle battery with correct polarity and switch on before vacuum is applied.
- Connect safelyFit the probe to the vacuum connection without forcing fittings.
- Set the conditionRun the engine or system only as the vehicle procedure directs and watch for leaks at the connection.
- Capture and restoreRecord the reading and condition, repeat when a comparison is needed, then remove the probe and restore the connection.

Good to Know
Caution
- Vacuum only: do not use the PT502 for positive-pressure or boost testing.
- Do not switch the gauge on while pressure is already applied; it can affect zeroing and accuracy.
- Connect the clamps correctly even though reverse polarity protection is fitted.
