New user not sure on Battery Voltage test

In my initial usage with MP900 the battery voltage shows low and should be replaced in late model BMWs - which I don't believe. Maybe I need to VERY CAREFULLY test the battery first, quickly, after turning off all the lights and fans that come on with the OBDII port power on. I don't recall any cautionary instructions on this point. Otherwise it is easy to use and I expect it will keep me informed about my starter / alternator / battery over time and prevent dead battery strandings in the future.

Very easy to use and just a great overall tool to add to the tool box to be able to monitor your batteries state of health specially in these newer cars that rely on the battery so heavily.

Le MaxiBAS BT506 teste les batteries de voitures particulières, dans le véhicule ou hors de celui-ci, grâce à la conductance adaptative, et contrôle les systèmes de démarrage et de charge. Les résultats s’affichent dans l’application gratuite pour iOS ou Android, ou sur une tablette Autel compatible, avec des rapports dans le cloud.

Caractéristiques principales

  1. Test adaptatif de conductance

    Évalue la capacité de démarrage à froid et la capacité de réserve sans décharger la batterie, et peut tester des batteries faiblement chargées ou presque déchargées.

  2. Test dans le véhicule

    Effectue des tests de la batterie, du démarreur et de l’alternateur pour indiquer l’état de chacun, ou teste une batterie seule hors du véhicule, avec un résultat à l’écran et un conseil d’entretien.

  3. Analyse du démarrage

Pinpoint battery problems in a flash

Every vehicle into our workshop gets a battery check, not only is it a great service to customers, but it helps with pinpointing strange communication and ECU faults due to electrical system problems. A simple battery test takes a couple of minutes. If a more comprehensive test of the whole start/charge system is required, then it only takes two minutes more and gives a comprehensive report for giving to customers or attaching to their records for any future queries. Bluetooth is simple and quick - no cables to tangle or damage - no plugging and unplugging and damaging ports… great for the longevity of the tool. The Autel system is used as an authorised new vehicle warranty system by at least one of the manufacturers that I work with, so you know it’s testing modern electrical systems properly and isn’t just a bunch of flashing lights on a box.
